Chris Matusieski

Songwriter • Producer • Artist • Composer

Chris Matusieski is a songwriter, producer, and artist working across indie rock, alternative, progressive, cinematic, and song-driven music. Known for emotionally grounded writing and a hands-on production approach, his work spans artist releases, collaborative projects, and music created for visual media.

Under his solo artist name CMatski, Chris releases introspective, atmospheric songs that explore personal struggle, resilience, and clarity, including the singles The Thin Grey Line and Stay. His music blends modern production with classic songwriting sensibilities, often designed to function both as artist releases and sync-ready material.

Chris is also a founding member of Outfit The Sky, an indie and alternative rock project focused on human connection, modern challenges, and emotional honesty. The project grew out of earlier collaborative work and has released a self-titled full-length album and the Threads EP, building a catalog suited for both listening and licensing.

Prior to Outfit The Sky, Chris was involved with Mercury Grade Retro, a folky, indie-leaning recording project that emphasized songwriting and atmosphere, and helped shape the creative foundation that later evolved into Outfit The Sky.

Chris also spent years performing and recording with the Christian metal band Faith Factor, where he played guitar and contributed to a heavier, more aggressive sound. With Faith Factor, he performed at major festivals including the Keep It True Festival in Germany and the Cornerstone Festival in Illinois, gaining international performance experience and exposure.

In addition to his artist work, Chris has music featured in the independent film Offstage Elements, where his compositions appear in the soundtrack. He also made a brief on-screen cameo in the film, playing guitar during a church performance scene.

Today, Chris operates through CMatski Productions and releases music via CMatski Records, maintaining full creative control while offering songwriting, production, licensing, and creator-focused music services. His work continues to bridge the gap between artist-driven releases and practical, licensable music, with an emphasis on authenticity, structure, and emotional impact.
